Lindy and Johan {Silver Sixpence} Beautiful Dullstroom wedding

I was fortunate enough to be Yolandi’s right hand at this amazing wedding.

Lindy and Johan got married on a beautiful summer’s day in December at one of my favourite wedding venues Silver Sixpence.
The amount of love between these two is contagious, a love like theirs will last until the end of time. I don’t often cry at weddings but I caught myself shedding a tear or two with theirs.

Michelle and JP {Valverde Morning Wedding}

Michelle and JP got married on a warm winter’s morning at Valverde. They had a beautiful intimate wedding with close friends and family and had a yummy lunch after (the food is super divine at Valverde). They were lucky enough to have their two children present and they had the littlest of the two baptized  in a very special ceremony.

Thank you to Nedean from DGR Photography for assisting me (and Salome 🙂 )

Ulana and Ruan’s gorgeous intimate wedding

Ulana contacted me last year (when I was expecting our son) to do an engagement photo-shoot for them. They were planning their big day on a cruise ship and needed some special invitations with a beach themed photoshoot for her guests. We found a cute little restaurant with sea sand and did their photos there with my waddling my huge stomach and swollen feet up and down the mini dunes.

The decor was meticulously prepared by the bride’s family and every tiny bit of attention was paid to the smalls details.

As you can’t legally get married on a boat they decided to have an intimate ceremony in Pretoria with their closest family to celebrate their love for each other. They chose the beautiful Candlewoods Guesthouse and Gazebo for the ceremony and Ga Rouge restaurant for dinner. For an interesting twist the ceremony took place at sunset and the couples photos were in almost complete darkness with only the romantic fairy lights to create a soft twinkling atmosphere.

Why I don’t give my unedited images or RAW files

Firstly there is a difference (in my eyes) to unedited images and RAW files. In my eyes a RAW file is my direct file from my camera in its RAW format, this is not in JPEG or PNG and it is quite large compared to other photos. It also needs a special program to open (especially when shooting with a Fujifilm camera like I do). An unedited image can also be in RAW format or it could be provided in JPEG – which can be sized.

I have noticed a trend where photographers are offering RAW files, and as trends go the general public requests it from other photographers too. Why can’t we all just give our unedited, raw images?

Well, I for one like to think that my finished product is what attracted you to my website. That you like my work, that includes all the editing I did to get the image to where it is now. If you want to see exactly why I cant give you my RAW images keep reading.

Ariska and Chirstoffel’s homey farm-style wedding

Ariska and Christoffel got married on Chris’ family farm on a very hot December morning. The two love birds were so easy to capture as you could feel the love from across any room they are in.

Ariska opted for a elegant dress with holsters fit for a farm wedding, Chris braved the heat in a royal blue suit and the most interesting tie I have ever seen(made from leather). Despite having planned their wedding in just 6 short weeks everything went smoothly. Ariska arrived in a monster truck (we got to experience the driving power during the couples shoot) and Christoffel could not contain his emotions.

Have a look at this unique and intimate wedding on a farm in Buffelspoort.
